These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and NMC eLogbook ("Platform", "we", "us"), operated via https://nmcelogbook.com. By accessing or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

Use of the Platform constitutes full acceptance of these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Platform immediately.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

2. Eligibility

To use NMC eLogbook, you must:

  • Be a registered MBBS intern, PG medical student, faculty member, or authorised institutional representative
  • Be enrolled in or affiliated with an NMC-recognised medical institution
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised account access at support@nmcelogbook.com

Account sharing is strictly prohibited. Each user must maintain a unique, personal account. Violation may result in immediate account suspension.

4. Permitted Use

You may use the Platform solely for:

  • Logging legitimate clinical cases and competencies as part of your authorised medical training
  • Accessing faculty feedback and institutional reports
  • Generating NMC-compliant logbook reports for assessments

5. Prohibited Activities

Users must not:

  • Log false, fabricated, or misrepresented clinical case entries
  • Record identifiable patient information in any form
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data without authorisation
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to scrape or interact with the Platform
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or copy Platform code or design
  • Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
  • Impersonate other users, faculty, or institutional staff
  • Use the Platform for any commercial purpose without prior written consent

6. Data Accuracy and Clinical Responsibility

Users are solely responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of all logbook entries. NMC eLogbook does not verify the clinical accuracy of entries. Falsification of logbook records is a serious academic and professional misconduct that may attract disciplinary action from your institution or the NMC.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, code, design, trademarks, and branding on the Platform are owned by NMC eLogbook and its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Platform for its intended educational purpose only. No content may be reproduced, redistributed, or commercially exploited without express written permission.

8. Institutional Accounts

Institutions subscribing to NMC eLogbook agree to:

  • Ensure students are registered under their accredited programmes only
  • Appoint a designated Platform Administrator responsible for their institutional setup
  • Comply with all NMC guidelines regarding logbook maintenance and student assessment
  • Not share institutional access credentials with unauthorised parties

9. Service Availability

We strive for maximum platform availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, technical upgrades, or circumstances beyond our control may cause temporary downtime. We will endeavour to provide advance notice for planned outages.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Indian law, NMC eLogbook shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you (if any) for the Platform in the preceding 12 months.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our sole discretion, with or without prior notice. Upon termination, your access to the Platform will cease. Data retention post- termination is governed by our Privacy Policy and applicable regulations.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to users at least 14 days prior to taking effect. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of competent courts in India. We encourage resolution of disputes through our support team before initiating formal proceedings.
